Kids Programs During the February Break

Looking for something to do with the kids while they’re off from school during Mid-Winter Recess in February? We have lots of Library fun for all ages!

Crafternoon (Ages 3 – 12 years with parent/caregiver)
Saturday, February 15, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Drop in anytime during these hours!
Get creative with upcycled materials. Younger kids may need assistance. No registration required.

Sew-A-Plushie (Grades 4 – 6)
Saturday, February 15 AND Sunday, February 16, 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.
Hand-sew your own plushie with the Long Island Youth Development Art Club. Must attend both sessions. Click here to register starting 2/1

Library is closed Monday, February 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Melting Snowman (Grades K – 6)
Tuesday, February 18, 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.

Cards for Hospitalized Kids (Grades 3 – 6)

Teddy Bear Clinic (Grades K – 2)

Bring your stuffed animal & learn essential safety topics through engaging, interactive activities. Then dress up as medical staff and “treat” your own stuffed animals. Sponsored by Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. Click here to register starting 2/7

Young Poets (Grades 2 – 6)
Friday, February 21, 2:30 – 3:15 p.m.
Create a poem that dances through all your senses with Sarah Goodman, the Suffolk County Teen Poet Laureate. Click here to register starting 2/7

Frosty fun with games, crafts, & contests! No registration required.
