Some of the services offered to all Suffolk County residents through the Central Library (Patchogue-Medford Library) include:

  • Direct access to circulating materials in all formats.
  • Telephone and walk-in reference service.
  • Free career counseling, by appointment.
  • Free Citizenship Preparation classes
  • Free Conversational English Group
  • Free Genealogy Research Group
  • Proctoring of examinations, by appointment.
  • Public access computers for word processing, Internet access and database searching.
  • Programs at Patchogue-Medford Library and at other Suffolk County libraries, such as genealogy presentations, health workshops, book discussion groups and citizenship classes.
  • Meeting room space for community groups
